Conference fees (in CHF)

Please check the package options below and select one of the eight fees after deciding on a single vs shared room and whether you will join the Brissago Islands excursion on Wednesday (includes dinner, more information below). You will enter and pay the applicable fee at the last step of registration.

The registration fees cover:

  • shuttle transport from/to Locarno train station on arrival/departure days
  • welcome reception
  • admission to all scientific sessions
  • meals and coffee breaks from Monday dinner through Friday lunch (except dinner on Wednesday is covered only if you join the optional excursion)
  • accommodation for the duration of the event

Payment is possible by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, TWINT and Alipay.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in the registration fee. You may choose between:

  • single room: a private room for yourself
  • shared room: a room shared with another participant

If you opt for a shared room, you may indicate a preferred roommate in the comment section on the second page of registration; otherwise you will be paired randomly with another participant based on indicated gender.

Please note that the number of single rooms on site is limited. If on-site single rooms are no longer available, single-room registrants will be accommodated in a nearby hotel (with transportation to and from the conference site provided). Because the conference takes place during the holiday season and the availability of hotel rooms may be limited, we recommend to register well in advance.

We take care of booking your accommodation for the period of the conference. You can book extra nights before or after the conference by directly contacting the Monte Verità conference center at

Dietary requirements

Conference meals will be vegetarian. If you have additional dietary restrictions or allergies, you can specify them on the second page of the registration form.

Excursion and conference dinner at the Brissago Islands

We offer an excursion to the beautiful Brissago Islands on Lake Maggiore on Wednesday, July 29 (optional). The excursion includes a guided visit to their renowned botanical garden and a conference dinner on the island. It will be a nice opportunity to enjoy the summer in Ticino and connect with fellow participants outside the conference site.

The afternoon will begin with a 20-minute boat ride to the islands. There, a guided tour will take us through one of Switzerland's most unique botanical gardens, home to over 1,500 plant species, including many from Mediterranean and subtropical regions. After some free time to explore at our own pace, the evening continues with dinner at the Ristorante Isole di Brissago, right on the island. A private boat will then bring us back to the mainland, with a minibus transfer back to Monte Verità.

The islands have a rich history dating back to Roman times, but became particularly celebrated during the remarkable tenure of baroness Antoinette de Saint Léger (1885–1927), a Russian noblewoman who made the islands a vibrant cultural hub and founded the botanical garden.

The full excursion runs from approximately 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The total cost of 150 CHF includes the dinner.
